The Family Life Outreach Program (FLO),
created in Ash Flat in 2001,
has been adopted by communities throughout the United States.


Programs

Serve and help families in need of social and family skills
Provide drug and alcohol abuse counseling

Purpose

Give families skills to make them functional as a unit and as individuals

Method

Work with both the parents and children together and individually
All program facilitators are volunteer

Technique

"Experiential training and learning"
Use activities to encourage problem solving and team work

Objectives

How to communicate
How to care
How to control anger
How to overcome discouragement
How to express appreciation and affection
Positive communication and praise
Importance of spending quality time
Success in life - at home, work, school and in the community

Substance Abuse Program

Facilitated by a licensed drug and alcohol counselor

"Family Life Center" but is not a religious program.
